Summer Reflections & Asks

This summer, we launched a relief fund for sex workers affected by Texas floods and participated in zine fests in Chicago, distributing vital supplies. We’re urgently searching for our missing comrade, Nona. New projects include support for sex worker parents and the formation of a Chicago Whores Caucus to enhance solidarity and organizing efforts.

CZF & Midwest Perzine Fest Recap!

The team participated in the 2024 Chicago Zine Fest, connecting with organizers and engaging attendees on important topics like decriminalization and disaster preparedness. They provided mini training sessions on naloxone and drug testing while distributing essential supplies. Although fundraising goals for mutual aid support weren’t met, they expressed gratitude for donations and zine sales that sustain their work with the incarcerated community. They encouraged support through their donation page and promoted the upcoming Midwest Queer & Trans Zine Fest in Minneapolis.
